"U There?!" - Part IV

They say things change when you are no more single. But for Suma and Vicky the commitment had been more about unification. They wouldn't have denied a connection at a higher spiritual level. It was as if being one soul and two bodies.
Life had not changed much for them even after their marriage. It had been a simple ceremony in the presence of relatives and close friends, followed by a reception for the business associates and other acquaintances. The last of the ceremonies had been a Puja - their first as a couple, to thank the gods for their matrimony and pray for a happy married life ahead. Their busy schedule and work commitments had not really allowed them a much longer break they would have liked, but they still managed to squeeze in a quick week long honeymoon in the wild life sanctuary. Both of them had been the adventurous time at some point in life and were relieved in each others company to enjoy themselves. They had booked a tree house for the full duration of their stay. With just the trees and the animals in the wild for company, they couldn't have been happier. On the very 6th day after their marriage they had arrived in their lodgings for the next 5 days. Both were as excited to be there. Their religious obligations had forbade them from physical intimacy for the first 5 days of marriage until the Puja had been performed. With the religious aspects taken care of their souls looked forward to a more earthly connection.
The flight had been a short 2 hour journey. Even though Suma and Vicky had been modern in their thoughts, they still respected the older generations thought process and had stayed clear of each other's touch except during the Puja rituals. As they buckled in to their seats Suma quickly slipped her hand into Vicky's and blushed. Vicky smiled as he gave her hand a quick squeeze as the air hostess arrived to offer them in flight refreshments. Vicky hadn't been much of a drinker but he ordered bubbly for both of them. After all nothing else could do justice to the beginning of their lovely journey of life. They toasted to their love and quickly settled in for the journey. Vicky had realized that Suma had been a far lively personality then had met his eye the first time and he was enjoying her non stop sweet nothings as she whispered in his ear. Their flight landed at the scheduled time. They walked out hand in hand with their trolley bags rolling behind looking for their contact person. Raman quickly approached them and introduced himself as their driver cum host for the duration of their stay. They got into the sedan and drove towards their destination as Raman filled them in about the city in general, the places worthy of visit and the wild life sanctuary. Vicky and Suma both listened aptly and questioned him about trek schedules, animal spotting and other activities in the sanctuary. They could feel the air getting chillier as they crossed the Forest department check post and drove across the last 7 odd kms of their journey. Suma cuddled into Vicky and both of them were suddenly aware of each others physical touch. But the wait wasn't yet over.
The sedan came to a halt and they were welcomed by the jungle maids with bouquets of wild flowers. They were accompanied to their tree house and settled in with fruit juices. Raman gave them his contact number and left them to their privacy. Vicky had been around girls before but never had he felt himself so aware in anyone's company. Their journey had taken a little over 5 hours and they were tired from the travel. Though they had been man and wife for the last 5 days this was the first time they were alone in each others company after marriage. Vicky was the first one to ease the mounting awkwardness in the room and suggested that they have a shower and freshen up. He was down to is boxers in a jiffy and entered the shower. He made sure he locked the bathroom, he wasn't yet used to having a women in his room. Suma had measured him in his boxers. He exited the bathroom with a towel draped around his waist.
Suma was next. She had never really been in the same room as any strange guy.But she reassured herself that this was her husband, not a stranger. Her body seemed to relax as the cold stream of shower hit her body. She found the natural soaps,compliments of the resort, soothing her body. She finished her shower and came out in a bath robe. Vicky was still drying himself, as he had changed into a fresh pair of boxers as he saw Suma step out. Their eyes locked as they longed for each other. Suma was still drying her hair. She moved towards the mirror to get a comb. Vicky watched her as the droplets of water made their way from the hair and dropped to the wooden floor. Suma was aware of his gaze. She continued to comb her hair as Vicky got up and stood behind her.
He quietly put his hands around her and his chin rested on her shoulder. They looked at each other in the mirror. She had expected her body to stiffen to a foreign touch but it had recognized the touch as her own. A smile appeared on her face as Vicky chimed "I Love You honey" in her ear. She turned in his arms. Vicky had not expected this and he lost his balance and fell backwards on the bed. By now entangled in his arms Suma landed on top as they both giggled. The ice though had been broken much before their lips met. This wasn't the first time, but the feeling was still relatively new. They felt the warmth of each others bodies as Suma's robe was undone. Her chest pressed against his while the breathing fastened. Their tongues were now entangled in each others. Vicky lowered himself to what was now rightfully his - soul and body. His tongue explored her dark cherry as his hand cupped the other. Suma's eyes had shut much before. Her body seemed to be responding to Vicky's gentle touch. His tongue caressed her body in parts no one had been to before. She dug the fingernails into him as she felt him inside her. Their bodies were uniting in the moment of passion as they found the rythm of love. She moaned as he stroked her. Finally the moment arrived and they climaxed together. They were happily spent and fell back onto the quilt. A night was not enough to curtail the anxiety of a lifetime. But for now they had made love. Suma kissed Vicky yet again as she told him how much she loved him. Their breathing was slowly returning to normal. They lay on in each others arms as Suma talked away so very much in love. Suma perched up on one elbow as their naked bodies still warmed each other in the cool surroundings of the jungle and looked at Vicky. She wasn't convinced her husband was still awake.
She slowly poked him in the chest and asked "U there?!"
The smile on his lips visibly returned as the porch light refracted through the ventilator. In the quiet of the nite came his crisp reply -
"For you my love, I will always be there! "
